It is highly adaptable, in terms of accessing difficult building profiles and easy to erect. The specifications of all the components and accessories conform to British standards.
COMPONENTS AND ACCESSORIES
Standards are designed to offer vertical support with 'v' notches moulded into the scaffold tubes at regular intervals of 495 mm to enable easy and rapid fitting of transoms and ledgers.
When a scaffold run is required to turn at a right angle return transoms are used to lock the separate scaffold runs in a manner as to avoid overlaps.
These transoms are designed to locate in the 'v' notches
of the standards. They are basically 'T' shaped sections
made of steel with locking wedge assemblies welded at
the ends of each section. They serve to cradle the scaffold
boards snugly thereby allowing a level work surface.
The guard rails are also used to brace vertical standards
apart from offering protection as a guardrail when it is
positioned at the scaffold platform level and at 9900 mm
above the platform level at the outer edge of the platform.
They have been provided with locking wedges at each
end of the ledger.
